I'm a 15/33 and slightly pissed (it has gone 6).
i got paypal.
sell me a shirt?
really.
jim
Never buy anything remotely pissed whilst on the internet. You may end up with some Russian calf leather shoes for a grand.
True.
Ralphy Rugby blanket-flannels with embroidered skulls bear witness to this fact.
Worn twice, once in memory of a rat I'd poisoned the night before.
what kind of shirt ya want
Remember that Press flap oxford I bought new the other day Jim? I said it was a tent. I just checked it out, it's a 15/32 so it's not for you I'm afraid. But this had me re-evaluating the thing and it's a keeper. Roomy shirt that flows and fits, nice. Long story short, you wanted a new shirt and sort of gave me a new shirt. Thanks.
Now someone sell Jim a shirt.
That Press cut ain't bad. Between Brooks & Sero. It belongs!
FWIW, it's worth trying various sizes from different makers.
Today's Brooks 32 sleeves are the same length on me as many vintage 33 in. sleeves.
I find I can go up to (vintage) 15.5/33 for wearing under a jacket - need the 15.5 usually to be able to close the top button.
Took me bloody ages to figure out shirt fit...
if you can wait, weejun will have a variety for sale when my parcel arrives in a week or so.
Good to hear. I'm in this for the long haul anyway.
if anyone's a collector, i found a really interesting number while digging through charity shops for these guys. its a 60s-vintage gant(all the requisite stamps and markings are there), in an ecru/faded yellow oxford blend, with a rounded buttondown collar. i can barely get 2 fingers in the collar....it appears to be the shirt under the "jivy ivy" entry in "roots of street style" if anyone's familiar with that comical book.
Boggsy me first!
The last Manhattan's I got from Weejun have come up a treat, been in plastic bag four nigh on 30+ years and the non-iron quality remains. Must be something to do with the distinctive 40% polyester content.
