The japanese style mag called "2nd" has the current issue featuring a "how to dress like Take Ivy" section where they highlight some looks from its pages and show modern gear to get the same vibe. Interesting if nothing else, 2nd is always a good read so if ya got a Kinokuniya bookstore near you it's deffo worth a look!
if not and anyone is interested I can scan some pages too
i'm kinda in transition to some new work desks so i wont be able to scan til sometime mid-later next week but I will do it asap, maybe here at work if i have the opportunity
I'm not shy - GS is a star in my book. I've missed you, Sir.
That tweed jacket is a southwick according to the captures (right word? dunno).
The Japanese use/transcription of English always has me smiling
Edit: How rude of me, I completely forgot to thank you for the amazing scans ;-)

If there'sm something specific you wanna know, shoot.
It is good for me!
(as our japanese friends would say...)
Might run wi' that arm-in-a-sling/skateboard look once the weather gets a wee bit better.
Interestin' stuff tho'.
Cheers.

Just adding yet another vote of thanks and approval - good work Get Smart, this is amazing stuff.
I can't imagine something similar in GQ or another style magazine from The West.
I think one of the hipster blogs did this sort of thing but with mixed results.
I copied your Mencken quote the other day and put it on my facebook profile, it got a good response . . .
The Japanese really fly the Ivy flag to the max....cheers GS
