brooks ocbd, yellow small plaid, brooks logo on chest, no pocket, all-cotton no iron, L.
brroks orange small check ocbd, l, all cotton no iron, no logo. both shirts appear to be brand new.
gitman yellow gingham all cotton BD, appears to be older make, USA, large (looks like it runs big), sold as "new" but appears to have gone to the cleaners once.
"stuart maguire" reddish-brown grained blucher, guessing a size 8 or so, alden walkers knockoff, appears to be identical to the "british walkers" now on their way to heikki, some dings and blotches, a little heel wear, but with a few good years left.
similar style but with a mildly squared toe, crepe sole, size 12, no dist. brand but "union made in Ireland".
brooks 70s-80s vintage suit jacket, navy blue pinstripe.
gerson "mountaineer" overcoat, charcoal herringbone, 60s vintage from union label, "jivy ivy" type turnup cuff, 1/8-1/16" small mothhole on back shoulder looks like could be rewoven. store marked it a "large", which looked about accurate.
"the english shop bermuda" harris tweed 3-button, shoulders not very natural.
hickey-freeman 60s era 2-button, trashed lining.
burberry trench, no size marking but fit like 42, small tear in back, some wear on the wool liner.
local mens store hook-vent 2 button in grey herringbone. no size marked, looked to be in the large range.
brooks 16/32 small stripe, inside collar mildly stained
3 mercers, blue, 17x37. 2 stained, may or may not be indelible, but staining under the tuck-in point. 1 with no problems besides collar buttonholes stretched (not visible unless collar unbuttoned) and tiny blue run in armpit.
1 gant blend, blue with light off-white & pink small stripe pattern "authentic oxford made in USA", 17x37.
size 44 london fog, older (heavy blen material), stone beige, some grey streaks lower back bottom.
polo coat, no belt, missing button, double breasted, stained lining, 44 reg.
2 size med burgundy cotton jackets, "monkey" or "tank" style collar, rest of jacket styled like a harrington.
1 med harrington, "field and stream", little greyed around collar.
reversible tan/blue harrington, size 44, good shape, "lord and taylor"
AE "byron" tan captoe, 10.5 D
florsheim imperial beefroll, cordovan, 9.5 EEE
" " kiltie tassell, tan, 8D
sebago boatshoe, USA, 10.5D?
brooks M irish linen plaid, lt. blue
brooks lt. blue "original polo shirt", 14.5/32,corner back pleat cleanly torn out of seam, easily repairable, microscopic lt wear at edge of cuffs but no fraying, otherwise pristine.
BD baggies 16.5x 37, rust stain on back
gant dk blue"foxhunt plaid", point collar, L, "made in the british crown colony of Hong Kong", small smudge which looks like it'd come out.
brooks blue/white ministripe, 17.5x 37, pristine but w/ mongram on pocket.

tan poplin suit, 2/3, hook vent, flatfront trou. some bubbling on pockets from dry cleaning (might iron out), rust stain on pant leg. no tags besides "dry clean only" and the brand, which i forget. from fit on me, 32 waist, 34 length, 44 long jacket.
brand new gant OCBD, "oxford club", white blend, 16.5 x 35. cardboard still in collar, looks like it was made yesterday, but with a pre-'76 union stamp and markings on front.
sero ocbd, white all cotton, 15 x 35,USA, number series and "sanforized" on front bottom like in weejun's pictures. good shape besides some wear/light fraying at top of collar by top button on both sides.

I love how thick on the ground all this is in the windy city. Fascinating stuff.
its getting pretty thick in my house, at the moment. all i need is a damned pair of longwings and instead i find everything else ever manufactured, and bring it home, where it has started to lend my dwelling the atmosphere of a thrift shop . sale! sale! sale! everything must go! (besides the gant, that ones full price hahaha)
..and still no small (or even Xsmall) stuff...
14.5 OCBDs?
Yeah did all the Large people move to the windy city or are we missing something?
here we go...
HALF OFF sale on suits and sportcoats at st. vincent depaul society. all manner of grey and brown harris/herringbone 2 button sacks from 38 reg to about 46 l.
brooksblend charcoal chalkstripe sack, 3/2, pants missing, 42 reg.
3 button green herringbone sack (might be 3/2, couldnt tell from way lapel was sitting), very thin lapel, about 38 or 40 reg. ( Im about 42-43 and it was skin tight on me). 60s-70s era label of some custom tailor in Honk Kong.
most interesting find was a dk. slate blue/lt. navy/cobalt/ 3/2 hook vent sack with a lt. olive windowpane pattern. heavy wool like tweed but not colored like tweed. about a 44 reg. id say. pre 76, made by marshall fields (chicagos premier dept. store until it was swallowed by the evil, down-market macys). fascinating coat except for smudges all over the bottom, which looked like theyd come out, but im no laundry expert.
"SERO for Jim Haddon" 100% pima cotton plaid BD, main color white with black and red. L but a small one....id say more like a modern medium. placket warped from over-enthusiastic laundering but nothing an iron wont take care of.
HATHAWAY red "biddeford plaid" ( a madras-type rather than scotch plaid) blend SS BD, 3 button collar. "M", sri lanka ( but definitely older).
black modern lacoste polo, sz. 6, good shape.
yesterday i fetched two pairs of vintage tan scotchgrain plain bluchers (nettletons and 'british walkers made in usa') from me post office, courtesy of mr. shamrockmonkmonkey. GREAT shoes, both. bought with a VERY decent price + great friendly service.
cheers dennis, THANKS.
)blush( all in a days work.
will do. you, moose, and aljazz are on my mind as i go about my travels...
one of you mentioned on some post or another taking the largest boys size interchangeably with a 36s. ive seen some brooks and L.L. Bean in a size 20......will that work if they show up again?
Almost brand new 9.5 C (and a narrow-looking C) cordo beefrolls. leather needs a little hydration but barely worn.scallopped/pinking-sheared tongue. most of sole still shiny. "handsewn genuine leather" in gold leaf on sole. unlined and the insides are spotless. only real wear other than a little ding or 2 by the toes seems to be where the brand label was....cant make it out at all, but id give excellent odds that theyre florsheim imperials or better (nettleton, alden even).
made in ireland wallabees, 11 D. reddish-brown smooth leather. minor scuffing and discoloration on toes, will buff/polish out im sure. bottoms of soles coated in sticky tarlike substance, seems to come off easily.
GANT SHIRTMAKERS for Bob Horsleys mens store lt. yellow OCBD. Blend. 16x33. Almost mint. pre-77 union bug.
missing tag but very possibly license made gant with small spread collar. smaller size. blue poplin.
gant short sleeve plaid , green, xl, linen blend.
gant SS small, red plaid, soft brushed twill type material, "gant " on lockerloop unfortunately.
hathaway all cotton ocbd, 17 collar, possibly another gant-made item from serial numbers, so-so shape.
woodward, same as above.
gitman blue/white stripe, 17x35, point collar
gant red plaid, small, "gant" on lockerloop unfortunately. soft brushed twill blend.
L.L.Bean twill plaid BD, mostly blue and beige.
"scottweed" old overcoat, grey tweed, little hole on shoulder.
navy blue single breasted fog w/belt, womens 14
