^ sorry for not getting back to you on that one. Lovely coat. 50 inch chest way too big for me though.
Just added some great corduroy jackets and many more to arrive next week

A few "arrow cum laude, tapered fit" 60s era shirts seen, one was a buttondown in orange with green stripes, another a point in light/sage green, both 15.5 x 33, blends of course but interesting. Also a few darted harris 2-buttons and a 42R darted brown wool 2 button, all 60s era, if thats anyone's bag.
some great overcoats-first off a marshall fields sage green/lt. loden number. spotless, looks brand new. funky jazz musician turned back cuffs, horn buttons, flapped patch pockets sewn onto a backing patch. marked 39S, but fit me fine and im a 43 R(though i was wearing a t shirt). early 60s or earlier union tag.
also, a cashmere muted charcoal plaid, spotless and new looking besides the very small beginnings of a hole/patch of wear, hidden by the sleeve. same jazzy cuffs, marked 37, but again fit me ok. again, early 60s or earlier.
mint o'connells tie, narrow, navy with diagonal bars of thin red and white stripes. "o'connell-lucas-chelf, clothiers-furnishers-importers in buffalo since 1959".
variety of mint old wool trousers in great shape, houndstooths in 33s, 4s, and 5s, browns, one natural colored tweed in a 33x32, a particularly nice stanley blacker pair in the same plaid as the o'coat with flapped watch/change pocket w/ yellow lining stains but mint on the outside, 34x30. also some really big sizes in blues, browns, and greys.
the same catalina varsity weejun just bought but in 48. left at store due to staining issues but could see if they come out if anyone's interested.
42 reg field & stream harrington, fits like a 40 or smaller, beige, old and american made, some minor arm smudges which im working on.
brooks makers 15/6/, lt. blue
all-cotton hathaway ocbd, yellow, pretty old, great cond., no size but would estimate 15.5/6 x35
NWOT recent landsend BD in red small plaid. light oxford material.
also a nice fog trench style w/wool lining in 42 or 44 R.
hook vented 3 piece gray tweed suit. 1/8" hole on back of shoulder. no size, 36 or 38 is my guess.

The plethora of different cloths used by London Fog over the years drives me nuts.... We should put together a list, maybe we can date them this way? Just an idea...
Newest junk for yas...
40 R olive poplin suit, hook, flapped patch lower, 3/2, lapped seams on arms and down the back. shoulder has a smidgen of padding but it passes uncle's "sweater test"; i think actually its a "natural" amount of padding made more noticeable due to the lightness of the poplin. 2 pinhead size spots of fading on a lower pocket, usual slight fading behind the rolled button, otherwise immaculate. barrington, same brand (and exact cut) as the black tweed number sent out to a UK brother last wk. trousers pleated unfortunately, 34/30 (but look a lot shorter, haven't measured yet).
"copper capper chicago-detroit" plaid BD, L, red/blue/grn/yellow/etc. on off-white/lt. tan background. immaculate. from cut and writing on labels, 99% sure its gitman mfg.
"sero disc. style" bd, all cotton, 15/34, salmon/white wide stripe (3/8" or thereabouts).
brooks plaid flannel,L, maj. color crimson, new chinese crap mfg. but 20% wool flannel. looks new .
2 brooks makers ties, very skinny/old, 1 black/very dk. navy with a thin olive and cream stripe, other navy with 3 thin yellow stripes./
"mfg. for the union league of philadelphia" navy tie, not quite as skinny but still under 3 1/4", thin yellow (maize) stripe with hairline thin stripe in same color over it.
Mr. Hipp is dead. Or at least he substantially cleaned out his closet - and what great taste he had. Anyway, I found a TON of amazing stuff in a Goodwil down here in South Carolina and snapped it up, even the stuff that doesn't fit me - I know there'll be some takers here.
I'm on the road at the moment, so I'll only take and post photos upon request.
- About 20 BB Makers Made in the USA OC and normal (broadcloth? I have no idea of the designation) BD's, mostly 16-35
- 2 SS Madras shirts, I don't recall the maker, also size 16
- An unworn pair of made in the USA Sebago dirty bucks, 10M
- London Fog G4
7D florsheim imperial shell cordo v-cleat longwings, burgundy (orange tinged rather than the purplish/blackish version often seen)good shape overall, backs of heels worn down a bit.
46 L southwick sportcoat, 2 btn, mildly darted, lower flapped patch pockets, white/black herringbone.
bert pulitzer narrow madras tie. old london fog in black, 40R. very old tan model in the same size w/ buttoning fly on the tails. 2 almost new pairs (in box) of 11 black allen edmonds-a loafer semi-similar to a yuma and an english-style captoe.
