Been a long time since I looked at any tradly blogs but saw this interesting piece on HTJ this morning about a long gone store in Cambridge that looks like I remember John's store the first time I went in there - all wood and piles of clothes, looked like chaos but John knew where everything was....

In fact he's been posting a lot of late 70s stuff from magazines, when the clothes were still classic but the people wearing them looked somewhat dorky compared even to the Take Ivy crowd of a decade or so earlier.

Still it's the look as worn here that was my first intro in American clothes, as Russell has said before, mainly American tourists in London (Clark W Griswold again...)
