They are Alden snuff suede, the unlined variety.
The pants are from O'Connells. I like them a lot. I had the knee to the hem tapered though. They had a 20" diameter and I took it down to a shade under 18". I like pants like this slim and a bit short.

Yesterday I packed away all those sweaters, flannel shirts, heavy trousers, winter shoes and jackets. After 3 weeks of clement weather it looked like a safe bet. But every year the same thing happens - last night we had a frost and this morning it's brass monkeys outside.
