Trad, Sweet Trad.

We hardly knew ye.

I've been musing over on the 'Inane' thread upstrairs on The Wardrobe about what I see as a very welcome mood in Tradland...
Yesterday I feared that Pink & Green was the future, today I'm really happy that a 'curmudgeonly' element is coming together. I see great hope there.

Time to take back Trad.

Back to the classics.

Back to The Real Tradition.

- The Tradition that is certainly not 'ossified' - The classics don't ossify, they are eternal, hence the name.

I posted this yesterday about the Trads:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUwpLyIDIJw&feature=related

Today I'm posting it again. The guys to look out for today are the two drinking at the start and the old man at the table who's not impressed. Ignore the Pink & Green Harris guy singing the song. Focus on the real hope for the future.
Me?  I remain Joel Gray.

Re: Trad, Sweet Trad.

The curmudgeon element only serves to further you agenda, Russell, to discredit and destroy trad. You are entirely correct about the eternal nature of classics: often hard to define or explain, but we all know instinctively what they are (well most of us know).

"What sort of post-apocalyptic deathscape is this?"
"I don't want to look like a cock hungry sailor after all !!!"
"When it comes to infidelity, broken families, and reckless fatherhood, the underclass are amateurs."
