The slow black, sloe black, fishing boat bobbing night?

I love a bit of Dylan, me! Thomas and Bob.

No, no tricks - just a nice sounding phrase- dim hosanau. "Hosan" - a sock, just like the English "Hose", both from the Norman French, I 'spose.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Saturday's agenda: Covering a hot and sticky event, then beating it to Princeton for a hot and sticky event this afternoon (the second of my three closest college pals is getting married; this is a preliminary bout). Then skedaddling to Catskills to salvage what remains of weekend before closing with the grim duty of watching "Prince of Persia" for review purposes.

For the NJ gig, which is the only important thing here, I am opting for LL Bean khaki poplins, Press madras short sleeve with a lot of pink, dirty bucks and maybe a white Panama if the sun comes out and this wretched party moves outside.

Otter : Take it easy, I'm pre-law.
Boon : I thought you were pre-med.
Otter : What's the difference?

Re: Ivy League style for today

There's an interesting poem by Charles Bukowski, in which he considers betting on a number of horses with human foibles  - Creation of the Morning Line - if you see Hope, bet everything you've got.....

Those Citizen ecodrive Skyhawks are interesting watches, I know I shouldn't want one, but with all the myriad of useless functions, three alarm systems, the business of the face that will piss a great deal of premium watch wearers off,  the fact that real automatic watches need no eco-drive battery malarkey, and have been around for a lot longer than the so called "eco"drive - I still want one.

Patrick occasionally sports an Ecodrive and if its good enough for the man, its good enough for me.
