Power is having the person you made look like a fool worship you for it.

Do you use shoe trees for desert boots ?

VictorC chips in. Whenever VicC/VinceC posts you suspect a well-executed trolling operation - possibly a double act with the OP.

To talk of many things: Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--and the sweet feet of young California boys...

Yes, and while the salesman in Gil's scenario is trying to gracefully end the call, another iGent is at the counter, impatiently waiting to return a pair of sock garters in the colors of the Tulane University which he recently found on line for a few dollars less. He will steam and stomp out of the store with his credit and immediately post on the forum about how SAs spend all their time chatting on the phone and ignoring valued customers like himself.

Aimee Thanatogenous: An American would despise himself for living off his wife.
Dennis Barlow: Yes, but you see, I'm English, and we have none of these prejudices in the older and more developed civilizations.

Never forget. Never forgive. Never miss an opportunity to badmouth an enemy.

"The only way to fight a moral war is the Jewish way: Destroy their holy sites. Kill men, women and children (and cattle)," Friedman wrote in response to the question posed by Moment Magazine for its "Ask the Rabbis" feature.

We'll teach that Earl a lesson !

Cruiser never bothered me either. If anything his ability to upset 'clothes enthusiasts' without really trying amused me. So he wears jeans and T shirts get over it.

Oh la barbe.

Anyway, ALLEN-EDMONDS FASHION ALERT:
http://www.askandyaboutclothes.com/forum/showthread.php?106841-Allen-Edmonds-CEO-reneges-on-promised-balmoral-boots-no-Fifth-Street
An iGent becomes severely distressed when he learns that the Great Allen-Edmonds Shoe Manufacturing Corporation won't produce the extremely marketable and attractive Fifth Street balmoral boot (SO ELEGANT); the CEO of the company wastes his time by asking the aggrieved iGent to put his money where his mouth is, literally; Cuffers stops by to alert everyone that he would be delighted to buy button boots. This is the iGent equivalent of the Defenstration of Prague.
