A favourite of Staceyboy and I. That photograph, that lucky chair.
I never understood the attraction of Keeler and hookers.
We're only talking about an image here. Style over substance etc. Not interested her in a tart, only as a mod icon.

I've always been struck as much by the 50s/early 60s Notting Hill scene as much as that in and around Soho. Racier in a way, I suppose. Probably squalid, too.
Ah, but the chair, a bad Jacobsen "7" knock-off: http://www.vam.ac.uk/collections/photography/past_exhns/seeing/chair/
A favourite of mine indeed, RR&P. A woman who could look stunningly beautiful in one photograph, plain and awkward in the next. As a side issue I came across (not literally) a nude drawing of the Welsh temptress, Mandy Rice Davies the other day penned by Stephen Ward himself. A pretty 'revealing' drawing all told but though I must say facially it didn't look much like her. Is anyone familiar with Mandy's mid 60's EP that she had out on Ember? Pretty dreadful accept for the picture sleeve but she must have made a living of sorts as a nightclub chanteuse in the late 60's. Oh, and if anyone has a copy of Keeler's early 60's 8mm loop "London Girls" (aka "Office Girls") you will have my full and undivided attention.

Delighted to see you on, Mark. Do you know Harpo? I think he might be in the same line of business as you.
I think I might have seen that EP once for sale on Ebay. I remember Giles cartoons about M R-D, and have always been interested in the fact she used to have to service Peter R back to front.
^ Thank you. Yes I've been absent from a lot of things for quite a while but edging my feet back under the "T.I." table now! I only know Harpo as a fellow Welshman on the board here. And a sharp dresser to boot.

Anyone with a prurient interest in this subject should check out the relevant few pages of the Phillips book about West Indian immigration to the UK: on how the divine Christine used to go in search for black guys to do the business for her.
