The best, bar none. 'From Russia With Love' is still almost on a par with 'Dr. No'. The annoying jokes and irony began in earnest with 'Goldfinger' (the fake duck, Connery's 'gay' wink etc.), but 'FRWL' seems to owe a major debt to some of the later 50s Hitchcock offerings. Bianchi is ravishing in her little velvet ribbon - the character gave me much pause for thought as a randy, confused ten or eleven year old both in the book and the film. A few daft bits, but Robert Shaw tends to make up for those, as does the fight in the train compartment.
Yes! The velvet ribbon - yes!.
