It's funny how we never fall out over here...
We swear & curse & take debating points way out on the edge to try to stir the pot and all we get is well considered and well informed opinions in return.
And all with minimal forum moderation (For which I thank FNB & Jeeves).
We chat, we explore, we 'ave a laff, & no noses get broken.
S'nice.

How do those house brand buttondowns rate? I'm seriously tempted to just bite the bullet and get it shipped over to this side of the Atlantic. Nice details. They look amazing.
Thanks for the info and the sizing tips. I have a pretty athletic build so finding shirts that fit well in the waist is a bit of a chore. These seem to be just the thing.
This is an item w/a fashionable edge that could be interesting IMO in that Downbeat Cool kinda vein we've discussed of late :

and this one too, probably :

i quite like the baracuta cardie, but being the boring git i am i'd prob'ly choose the grey one.
tomorrow will definitely be a 'downbeat cool day' for me whereas today was 'the official flirting with casual tuesday' with a 3 button polo shirt, red pringle v neck and whatnot.
the black w/ yellow piping smedley that lewis posted looks ace btw.

Another thread I've pulled out of the archives.
Just thinking: at seventeen and eighteen being ITK or 'hip' was done with the tongue tucked partly into the cheek. We checked out what the older guys were reading and wearing and the music they were listening to (not punk rock, that's for sure). They were into art and design; some were probably listening to some forms of jazz (certainly arcane black music), or whatever had spun out from the Velvet Underground (huge), Eno etc. We absorbed a little, gave it a twist, laughed at it then went off to see 'On The Waterfront' or 'Duck Soup' at the arty cinema.
Now, at fifty, all that matters is keeping clean and orange juice at breakfast. The watch on my wrist cost less than the strap. There are ironed shirts ready and waiting and Chet on the CD player. Ian Strachan, hopefully, is enjoying his garden once more. Time passes. The hipster, however, matures and flows into a different groove. Thank heaven I'm listening to Dakota Staton now instead of John Lydon. I have Gibson Gardens to thank for that.
Oh, and life, according to Patrick Nahman, begins at fifty.
Heartening.
