^ Nice words from my old Mate Paddy to my old Mate Rip.
And a lot of sense being spoken there too, I think.
In the Internet race to be an instant expert many have fallen & continue to fall by the wayside. Far better that people just settle back & enjoy their various learning curves, rather than try to impress and out-pose each other. Because all they'll ever do is just trip (Trip?) themselves up if they try to do that.
The journey is the thing - Because there is no destination.
Not many of those guys seem to have anything to do with the Internet, let alone any blogging or what-have-you. I can't imagine John Lally coming on here to share stuff. John Simons always seemed indifferent to computers per se. I don't think Ian Strachan even owns one, and I'm not certain I would if it hadn't been for having school-age kids. I mess about on it instead of watching the telly.
^ Depends on whether you have to use one for work. Simons had an ancient cash register, Victorian-style price tickets & plain carrier bags. Probably a Luddite.
I'm just 33 and I wouldn't have used one, if it wasn't for work...
'Admire those who search for the truth, and avoid those who find it'.
I'm personally more interested in those who ask all the questions, rather than those with all the answers.
Post-modernism rules, ok!
