Miles Davis was pretty displeasing at some points. Chet Baker was obviously useless to his family.

I can't help liking Lloyd Johnson. I bought a jacket from him when he was doing his 'Mr. Beatnik' thing on Ebay, and we had a bit of a chat via e-mail. Then I had one with Paul Gorman, who invited 'Alexandra' (I happened to be using my daughter's account) to a swinging party. I like the old British black and white movies Lloyd likes. He's been blogging for a while, I think - if that's what does it for you - and now does stuff on Arseaboutfacebook. I've come across him on the J. Simons site. Which can be enigmatic.
Interesting coincidence. I was just reading Bevis Hillier discussing the waning of American influence on English clothing during the early 60s and the madras cotton jacket was the main example cited...

Well, yes - I got mildly told off for 'hype-busting' yesterday. At least two of them are dead, aren't they? They were no better and certainly no worse than a lot of groups around in the 60s - and even the worst of those seem a hundred per cent better than the moronic drivel my daughter listens to.
^Well, there is such a thing as taking all this stuff too seriously, but you know that Andy
Perhaps it's a good idea, as some have suggested, to take a back seat for a while. Don't be a stranger though, mate...
