Half a dozen pale blue and rather old Brooks shirts
Two pairs of black beefroll - leather soles
An American tailored three piece tweed suit
Some mid-brown slim-fitting cords
A copy of 'Take Ivy' (which I would gladly lend around)
A very soft 100 per cent cotton sweatshirt - no emblem - preferably grey
A Williams tie a la Dustin Hoffman in 'The Graduate'
Too much to hope for??
A wish list at 17
a pair or really lovely tan coloured brogues...loake will do but church's are better!
a two piece mid grey flannel suit
a three piece navy suit(pure wool - mohair is horrid)
unlimited pairs of lee powell jeans in royal rinse
lots of fred perry shirts in all the white variations...some john smeldy knitted ones in navy and red and a long sleeve smedley in sky blue
an albam fishermans cagoule and a barbour bedale in green
an albam canvas tote bag in white
barbour tyne crew necks in navy and cream (they call it linen i believe)
an ll bean norwegian jumper
to pass my a-levels
a job to pay for it all.
What size shoe do you take Adam?
7 but have been known to feel comfortable enough in an 8.
Ah. I'm afraid my Church's would be too big for you.
I wore Loake Royals yesterday. Nice shoe and it was 'seconds' quality.

I am not aware that Churchs now offer a long wingtip

I perused a number of Loake shoes here in Delft NL over the weekend, and good quality and indeed, decent tan brogues for near and under the 200 Euro mark. Which contrasts to a shop in the Hague that's attempting to sell Tricker's at 400-600 Euro mark. Insane in the membrane.
Church's do indeed offer a long wingtip now. It's single-soled and looks like one of the Prada-inspired models. OK for Italians, I would have thought (resigned, ironic smiley). For what it's worth the women's version is actually pretty nice and has been deemed to be 'on-tend' right now: an example of how style-blogging feeds the mainstream.
In terms of a brown brogue shoe wishlist I would suggest Adam looks at vintage Florsheim Imperial Kenmoor longwings on ebay. At that size (a US 8) there are probably deadstock examples around at a fair price as it's not that common a fitting. I find the market in these is pretty tough in the more widely-worn sizes but either side of that band there are bargains to be had. A pair of those from pre-1990 is about as Ivy as it gets.
Wish List at 44-ish:
To pull it all back to that Clapton in '64 level.
Albam Parka rain mac (do I really want this? Would it really look as good on me as it does on the web site? Am I just too damn short to wear a mac?)
A pair of Trickers Oxfords (not fussed as to which style)
A shawl collar cardigan (or the Mikkel Rude cardigan - £150+ for a cardigan? seriously!)
A Barbour Akenside (but I already have a Barbour, which I actually prefer to the Akenside, so why bother?)
A nice tan leather bag for work
A Shetland sweater
A nice chambray shirt
A pair of Sanders Playboy chukkas
And yet minimalism appeals...I am a host of contradictions...

I'd like to get blown in some sand dunes with a Mojito in one hand and another one in the other hand...
I've already attained my wish list before I was 40.
now my wish list is to pair down and get more minimal. Doubt i'd ever sell anything but at least pack it in a trunk for some day way in the future when I might feel motivated to wear it again, or be so over it I'd sell without regret.
Life is just one big grey Marl sweatshirt mate... It always turns out poly/cotton...
I suppose your wish list expands enormously if you lose about 20 kilos of weight at the age of 33-34 Sad thing, in the end.
All my own hair/ teeth... Check
Weigh 12 stone... Uncheck
Low cholestrol... Uncheck
Have a job... Check
Have a bird... Check
Not doing too bad. Now if i could just get a pair of those Sanders black leather chukkas. I could rest easy in my bed...
