I thought their shoes were amazing. I thought their boots were amazingly expensive. I blagged the first and bought the second. I saw a quite beaten-up looking pair of deck shoes a few weeks ago and they brought memories flooding back. Yet I came to really dislike the boots, especially when the knock-offs you still see all over the place began to show up.
I never bought any of their clothing. When did it go overground and why? I think casuals latched onto it.
Now I think the knackered old Nunn Bush my Dad wears are far better.
I know they were once a big Ivy Shop thing.

Another fine piece of clothing taken over by the great unwashed and dragged down to their level. Rendering it unwearable by anyone with a ounce of good taste...

I knew I'd get a reaction like that and I understand your reasoning, too. There's simply no point in discussing this I reckon because your British 'taste' is superior to mine. Let's leave it at that, shall we? Only ever so slightly disappointed, lads

It's partly the outsourcing problem, Alex.

Timberland offer some good deck shoes but nothing else tempts me.
