... now being pushed by Ebay sellers as 'Ivy League'. News to me, I must say. You can buy it in the factory shop down the road from me.
It says 'adopted by the Northern Soul scene' om their website although the label was also popular among London Soulboys during the '70s. Pity Dempsey a.k.a. Bomber no longer posts on TI...

I used to sell Gabicci when working in Glasgow department store 30 years ago. It was not an Ivy Brand, more old man in the nursing home.
Gabicci was popular in with the Sticksman round my way back in the 70's......now there were trousers with no break!
My dad used to think it was the last word in cool.
Unfortunately this was by the time he'd had children and stopped trying where clothes were concerned.
To be fair I like the odd item I've seen, but I'm not keen on the branding, which often (always?) seems to be a metal (looking?) 'G'.
Can't see me purchasing anything anytime soon.
Vintage stuff strictly for Joe Pesci wannabees and ageing sticksmen.
You mean, let me undertand this, cos ya know, maybe it's me, I'm a little fucked up maybe, bt I'm funny how? funny like I'm a clown? I amuse you? I make you laugh? I'm here to fuckin amuse you? What do you mean funny? Funny how? Funny how? How am I funny?
That Joe Pesci?
