Re: Dubious: Gucci-style loafers

You must forgive me, Paul, I was young and very, very horny at the time.

Contrary to lies of FNB and Woofboxer, I (and most of the other "Buff Bastards") have been banned from posting on this forum. There are only a few posters left so don't waste your time on here. This forum is dead and nobody cares.

Re: Dubious: Gucci-style loafers

I once knew a very smart chap, gay, bought Tatler and knew everyone in the photos who used to wear his grandfather's Anderson and Sheppard double breasted suits with suede Guccis in shades of brown and tan. Sounds awful? He looked fucking fantastic. Inspired by him I blew half my monthly bookseller's salary on a pair of black leather ones from the flagship shop on New Bond Street. I wore them twice and just gave them away. Not for me. I couldn't carry it off. I feel you need to have a certain camp showiness to get away with it. Floppy blond public school hair. Literally you need to be a little light in the loafers. But it can be done. I have seen Patrick from SW7 do it, and do it very well.

g.g.

An Italian shoe is oft best seen on Italians.

Desert boots are a completely different matter.
