Does anyone here actually wear or even like them? Or are they an iTrad fad?
The hunting boot? Id say ugly prepp.
I have one view and one view only on boots: Will they stop me from falling on my arse on an icy pavement? If Bean will I'll have a couple of pairs. Or Red Wings.
My red wings, do just that ripp, and thats when I wear them. Heavy rain, snow and ice.
Gotta say, I would love a pair... think they would look great, with my Woolrich hunting blazer etc.
Just a shame you can't get them in the UK! Have a pair of Redwings that I bought back in 97 that have been all over in all conditions and are solid boots and never let me down. But the Bean boot has something cool about it.
The problem with a lot of American footwear is that it is often only available in a D width.
Yeah, I have a pair of the stupid rubber moccasins. My brother bought them probably twenty year ago.
I wear them once or twice a year when there is residual slush all over or standing water from rain. Similar vintage Bean 17" Wellie boots for shoveling deep snow.
American Classics stock Red Wings

TKMaxx had the Red Wing desert boots at £69.99 last week.
Customs is easy to get around.
To paraphrase the immortal slick rick, customs aint shit; but hoes and tricks.
Send one boot as a commercial sample.
Send the other boot a week later to a pal nearby as a commercial sample.
Suits and shoes are the two things almost invariaby stopped by customs here.
When did this problem with customs arise? I only ever got stung on artwork. Never shoes.
Come to think of it, you cant order redwings online in the US. never mind.

Why do I never see things like Red Wings in TK Maxx?
Lime green Crocs maybe...
