LL Bean boots

Does anyone here actually wear or even like them? Or are they an iTrad fad?

Re: LL Bean boots

I have one view and one view only on boots:  Will they stop me from falling on my arse on an icy pavement?  If Bean will I'll have a couple of pairs.  Or Red Wings.

Re: LL Bean boots

Gotta say, I would love a pair... think they would look great, with my Woolrich hunting blazer etc.
Just a shame you can't get them in the UK! Have a pair of Redwings that I bought back in 97 that have been all over in all conditions and are solid boots and never let me down. But the Bean boot has something cool about it.

Re: LL Bean boots

The problem with a lot of American footwear is that it is often only available in a D width.

Yeah, I have a pair of the stupid rubber moccasins.  My brother bought them probably twenty year ago.

I wear them once or twice a year when there is residual slush all over or standing water from rain.  Similar vintage Bean 17" Wellie boots for shoveling deep snow.

Send one boot as a commercial sample.

Send the other boot a week later to a pal nearby as a commercial sample.

Suits and shoes are the two things almost invariaby stopped by customs here.

When did this problem with customs arise?  I only ever got stung on artwork.  Never shoes.

Re: LL Bean boots

Why do I never see things like Red Wings in TK Maxx?
Lime green Crocs maybe...
