The Mod, The Trad & The Ivy...

Ivy kicks off around '37. But the look without that name goes back much further...
Modernist Ivy probably starts with Miles & Charlie in the Andover around the mid fifties. I could check dates, but this is only the internet...
'Trad' is September 2004 online. A baby. The earlier Japanese style of the same name is unrelated.

... 'Preppy' is '81. Not that it matters.

Ripples in a pond & off-shoots.

But the originals are still the greatest.

Words, words, words. Terms and terms. They all just point to things. Perhaps the key is looking at what they're pointing at and not fixating on the pointers.

Then again, on the internet, language is all we've got. The words matter.

Well the answer is quite simple... Don't come here anymore. I'd like to say it's been nice having you, but...
