I admit, my recent acquisition of assorted ivyist clothing is a direct result of reading this forum and The Ivy League Look (which I only discovered as a result of this forum). It's not that I didn't like ivy - I had literally no idea what ivy entailed, I had just heard the name. (I was into boom years style, but without ever noticing the differences between the continental/European/UK styles and the US look.)
Obviously the old guard on here were fully paid up ivyists before stumbling upon (or creating in some cases) this site. I'm curious . . . has anyone else become converted/brainwashed as a result of this forum? Or are you all old hands at ivyism?
p.s. use of the term 'ivyist' is somewhat tongue in cheek.
It's gonna catch on Yuca, it's gonna catch on.....

I have to admit Chris H and Macchiato Man got me seriously interested in IL during the early days of Modculture although I didn't feel the time was right to fully immerse myself into it back then (if at all). It seems like the right time now however partly due to this forum and although I will never become a fully fledged 'Ivyist' I like to think I do come close. The term can be used in a tongue in cheek way only IMO, too...
