I have a 'Riviera' half-sleeve shadow plaid, that looks as if it must be from the 50s. It's a beautiful shirt. I hadn't realised that Van started up in 1948. Does anyone have any detailed knowledge of how and why the Japanese got started on Ivy-style clothing after 1945? I really don't want to hear anything about the war - this is about A Look.
