Must be why wankers always seem so well-rested. one more way that catholic guilt keeps me up all night.

A classic Chens Q&A - Check all the self-referential stuff peppered in there to link his blog to the subject as much as possible.
Chens is just one of those people who need people I guess. Without them he's just... Chens.
Whoever/whatever that may be.
Still no Ivy Look book stuff on the Ivy-Sty blog by him yet? What kind of Ivy blog is he running?
If Ivy is his subject then THE book should be his concern. Surely?![]()
^ No disrespect to Francis Cazal or his blog but 'Frenchman buys some American clothes and um, wears them' isn't exactly groundbreaking is it? Mr Cazal is looking pretty sound in his photos but haven't sussed young Frenchmen always had a penchant for American styling? And a penchant for saying 'penchant'? Probably the most vacuous 'piece' I've ever read on "Ivy Style". Again, no offence to Mr Cazal or any fault of his.

^Man, just wait until you read their (GSTAG and Where is the Cool?) interview of me.
Although I'm not sure it's really going to be published. I wouldn't blame them.

We just note who mentions whom where. His blog gets a kind acknowledgement in Gaul/Marsh. It's a lesson in magnanimity.
Pity about the interview - although the interviews are the strongpoint of IS - I suppose inevitably some will be more forgettable than others.

He puts me in mind of Mark Ronson.........
I'm a bit lost here. Who are these guys? The very word 'blog' has me reaching for my Beatnik's Ghost-style vomit-bag. I rarely wander far (being a conservative type of chap) from what my daughters would refer to as my 'comfort zone' on 'Talk Ivy'. I looked at some of the other stuff, like 'Ask Andy', before lurking and then first posting as 'ChetMiles', but only go back there if I find they're discussing something like Grenfell. I mean, is this stuff worth reading? I get relatively little out of the Internet besides odd buys on Ebay, Wiki trivia and the news.
Like you RRP I dip in and out of these blogs things very very infrequently......I find it very time consuming and have a lot of other stuff i want to read and do etc........however in saying that I think that I can usually gleam something from some of the blogs, even if it just confirms what I don't like.
I like Heavy Tweed Jacket, Tintins "The Trad, and of course, The Ivy League Look... I also liked the Weejuns blog... and I admit checking some of the other ones, too...
for a while I used to spend a lot of time on facebook (too much!) and I also used to listen to youtube stuff a lot... but what's the point of listening to bad soundfiles if you got original Blue Note, Prestige, Verve, Pacific, Riverside, Impulse etc....?
Absolute trivia I grant you but just noticed that the Raeford Worsted ad featured on page 87 of "The Ivy Look" is prominently displayed on the agency notice board in the latest episode of "Mad Men" (Season 4 -Ep 10 "Hands and Knees"). Marsh & Gaul's American invasion gathers apace! Over to you Chens!
