Most Americans use the terms college and university interchangeably with most
chosing to use the term college. You sedom hear an American saying
"I go to university". Most say "I go to college".
Canadians use the term university more often.
A two year school granting a terminal associates diploma/degree after high school is called a junior college or a community college.
