Re: When bespoke wishes and fabric dreams go wrong

The way I see it, no more pattern please, but if he has to, then something organic and not geometric, colours he could play with for accessories are red, orange, yellow, I think what would work best though is hues of blue in the main items, yellow or orange as an accent, basically an analogue scheme with a contrasting high light, and a black shoe. But beyond and above all that the suit fabric is just not right for his frame, it engulfs him and I don't mean the actual cut of the suit I mean the pattern just breaks up his body too much.

The shoes are a big mistake, as too are the lapels. A pretty awful outfit in my opinion, who dresses like that for work?  No one. The actual cut is decent, he hasn't yet developed the bell shape of the classic iGent.

I couldn't wear it for work, my colleagues would think I had just come off stage at the local amateur dramatics version of 'Bugsy Malone'.

That's a suit guaranteed to piss the boss off. And I am the boss.

That's the City. Doesn't work in Oil & Gas, an accountant could get away with it or a contracts engineer (including a striped shirt with a plain collar), no one else. It would be outside of the acceptable envelope and it would be viewed with utter disdain.

Then again, in my world, as long as you've got a Rolex Submariner then its deemed that you must have arrived....
