Re: New Improved Inane Post of the Day Thread (50% More Snark)

Any chance of any of youse eGents (a totally different and very acceptable form of Internet Gent) can do a company search in US and tell me the capitalisation of this shoe company? Are they listed or private? Turnover? Profit, Shares up or down over last 10 years, dividends, employees are they diversified or only make shoes?

Oh and does the CEO wear 4" cuffs 3" above his shoes?

Contrary to lies of FNB and Woofboxer, I (and most of the other "Buff Bastards") have been banned from posting on this forum. There are only a few posters left so don't waste your time on here. This forum is dead and nobody cares.

the colours, aaaaah THE COLOURS
they burn...
into my eyes
into my soul
into my eternity

The wall of the universe cracked open, and I looked into the crack, and it was dark, and a voice said to me: Greetings small creature, know that my name is Awful to men, and tho I have the darkness of the void in my soul, thou shalt know me as thy wife know thee, and I shall filll you with my darkness, and you shall go forth and be my servant and my servant's servant. I trembled and lay flat, and realized I was lying on the floor of the men's washroom of the home theatre store at which I work. Oh shit, it's 4:30. Time for home.

^ at least Mr Orangepants's beard is trimmed, popeye is correct to suggest Tripe's beard needs a quick back-and-sides, ideally with a rusty penknife but I won't insist

Gee what a shocker -- Memphis Jailhouse Lawyer has been married 25 years (which, given that he's from Tennessee, makes him at least 39 years old), does not have a passport. It's prime time to go abroad, G_d willing.

The passport thread is indeed a glimpse into the dark heart of Andyland.

Inanity:

Hey, do you guys know where I could get a dozen poorly-composed pictures of a generic guy in two ever so slightly different peacoats? I need them for a project.

"As you know, Dartmouth's Tuck business school accepts only the finest and most agile minds. In order to synergize our market and deliver total quality in a completely next paradigm we require proactive team players who will take home learnings at the end of the day and bring their game faces to classes and later crush it when they become VPs. We've carefully considered your CV and your application essays, and the deans and I have resolved to be forthright with you - you look utterly fabulous! Good enough to eat! God, it's like you're POURED into that suit! Tell us, where did you get that pocket square?"

No, give the purple velvet blazer to ME.

This is like "Faces of Meth" but with outfits.

http://www.askandyaboutclothes.com/forum/showthread.php?108832-Grenadine-Ties
The OP asks if grenadine ties are limited to particular occasions. As everyone knows, grenadine silk was invented by the Royal Welsh Grenadiers. Its loose weave absorbs airborne gunpowder, so the tie can be used in an emergency as a fuse for a petard. So it really only works for artillery battles. Basic stuff, guys.

Speaking of the Grenadiers, has every single member of Ask Andy served in the UK armed forces? Every single one?

What kind of monster would object to the sexless pastel formlessness of this classic dog-walking outfit? Surely not I! Yet, I might also ask - why would a human being purchase these garments and photograph himself wearing them?

Let us assume that our Canadian friend went to take the crisp Toronto air on his balcony and carelessly trod upon an remote control for his camera, thus taking the picture by accident. We then must ask, why did he choose to post this picture on an internet message board devoted to stylish dress? Let us speculate again: perhaps our Canadian friend had swallowed a great deal of Ambien and downed a glass of scotch. He may have transferred the photograph to his computer in a reeling stupor, without having resolved rationally to do so. Why, then, did he choose to describe the "footwear" that his camera failed to capture? Why, oh why? The world is full of mysteries!

Oh yes, the multitude waiting with baited breath so see how his jacket turns out. Admittedly, a perfect cover for him. No one would ever suspect someone that ugly being a narcissist. Get on with it.
