Chris-US Men's shoe sizing is almost the same as the UK. The only different would be very slight. A UK size 11 for example would be a US 11 1/2.
The old English width fitting used numbers 4-5-6-7 etc
Today they use E-F-G-H etc
A medium English width which is F is the same as D in the US
G(wide) in England is E in the US, H is an EEE in the US and is for a wide foot.
An English E(narrower) would be C in the US
Get a Branack device, shoe stores have them, and measure yourself in US,UK and metric

Once you have your size then try on shoes, late in the day and with your ordinary socks.
Remember though that shoes are made on different lasts (shape of foot) and some people cannot wear certain styles. It doesn't matter how expensive a shoe is if it doesn't fit correctly and a cheap well fitting shoe is better than an expensive shoe that does not fit correctly.
I don't think they were ever on the Sanders site - but there again neither were the snuff Playboys.....
GUYS; THEY STILL HAVE THE SANDERS ROUND TOE AT MIKES IN N.Y.C. TEL; 1 212 921 8218. HARD BOP HANK; THE ROUND TOE SANDERS HAVE THE WHITE CREPE BOTTOM,THE CUT BACK IS NOT SHARP LIKE THE ONE PICTURED,THE SANDERS ROUND TOE IS A COMFORTABLE AND GOOD LOOKING BOOT.THE ONES IN THE PICTURE ARE NOT SANDERS ROUND TOE. THEY HAVE THEM IN LEATHER IN SIZE 13. JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH MIKE AND HE SAID THERE IS ANOTHER LOAD IN TRANSIT,WILL BE HERE SOON.
guys; the sanders round toe playboys just came in at mikes; they have them in leather, colors are black brown and navy blue.also they have them in suede, colors black, brown and navy blue with the white crepe bottoms, good looking shoe, picked up the black and navy blues myself.
My round toed Sanders have an all black sole, very similar to the standard pointed Sanders, but if anything, a little bit softer. Went into Blackmans the other weekend and they only had 11s and 12s left as was gonna get some for my business partner - Asked if getting more, they said don't hold yer breath.
Dunno if someone on here got them, but was told about some vintage Playboys on Brick Lane (Sclatter Street to be exact), had Playboys written on the sock, and also had the leather foxing between the crepe and the suede upper. I went down Saturday morning, but was told they were sold? Had only been £12.99 - dunno why the chap who told me about them didn't just pick them up for me?
Must be what the Americans had instead of Polyveldts.
Deerslayers seems like an unnecessarily brutal name, doesn't it?
Like calling desert boots Gerbilpunters.

Stuarts of London are selling Weaver low tops which the guy in the shop assured me where "exactly the same as McQueen wore", I politely put him straight.
Oi Polloi are doing the ones from Portugal - They look OK in the picture. Anyone seen them in the flesh?

Weejun bought a pair after I sent him a link, check out his site as he has a bit on info on them and his thoughts. I think they look tidy, but cannot afford more shoes!!
Can I ask, has anyone been into Blackman's lately? Do they still do the cheap Playboys, or have they all gone?
The Common People Playboys are okay, but the soles are a bit thin for me. The quality is good though, but Sanders are certainly the current Kings of the Crepes... If only they weren't so expensive...
They became more expensive during the last three or four years, I think. Much more, iirc... Weren't they like 100 quid or so?
Past Blackman's on Sunday Beatnik, nothing of worth to report, just cheapo plimsoles and dessies.
Picked up a pair of the common People boot from TK MAxx for £35, they are now my general wear shoe and find them pretty good, a little comfier than the sanders for a long day of walking due to the lighter build, but how they last I will see.
