Heikki,
Have I imagined this or have you been absent from the board for a good part of the Winter?
Put another way, does the appearance of Heikki in desert boots signal the return of Spring?
Like the first lark song or a snowdrop peeping its delicate head above the soil...
Heikki's joyous visage heralds the season when the sap rises and a young man's fancy turns lightly to the thoughts of love...
Or in other words the three month vodka binge in total darkness is over!
^exactly so!
we live next to russia and only last week the russians found out that beer actually is an alcoholic beverage. they - and us lot - haven't found out that about vodka yet.

shooman, i don't mind a cloudy / rainy day.. always a chance to wear a nice rain mac! getting fed up with winter and snow though, sick of ploughing.
to be honest, being a finn, i don't mind cold and snow either. i love to walk in a snowy, silent forest, with only me and my dogs.
but having had those winter con ditions since november, enough is enough.

Lookin good Woofster!
Mr. Woof is a fine fellow in the flesh too with more than a bit of a twinkle in his eye. Never met I guy I didn't like down John's...
Today I'm freshly shaved (God, I've missed shaving!) and in:
A White Troy flap pocket BD from Ian Hingle
A Charcoal Shaggy Dog - A slim cut one from that difficult season they had a while back when all the fat Trads moaned about the sizing...
Khaki five pocket needle cords from Landsend
Mid Grey Sox from Marks & Sparks
Desert boots just like John Gall's
Vintage 'Comar' overcoat for outside later - Huge & heavy in a dark green Tweed that makes me look as though I'm inside a roll of pub carpet. Nice & warm though...
I saw a guy yesterday wearing a G9 under an overcoat. Never seen that done before. With a bit of luck I won't see it done again either... He was all popped collars & the G9 took on the look of a waistcoat under his Crombie-esque top layer. Had I been closer I'd have hit him with my stick.
Now that's what I call Sprez !
