Sickened by the online bullying of Mr. Laguna Beach Fogey to get cheap applause by some, I'd like it to be known that his opinions, taste and style add greatly to the mix of our debates.
This awful online urge for one opinion on everything is the grave of debate and the creative spark which can come from discord.
Here is his long running blog which pre-dates Chensvold's troll induced posing as an Ivy fan:
http://admiralcod.blogspot.com/
And here is his, now famous, provocative post:

LBF has great style....
.. And has no desire to try to dominate our subject for purely commercial gain.
Nobody ever trolled him into blogging. He's real.
Love him or hate him... He's real.
Jim.
I consider Admiral Gefilter to be one of the most entertaining and outrageous trolls in internet history- putting even you to shame, RS!
And I'm saying that as an example of the type so mercilessly lampooned by him in his posts.
There exists the possibility that the chap's for real. I hope not.
Realler than Chensvold anyway!
- The more voices the better. Those with a nose for style will pick and choose from the pile of words & images created... And they must always choose for themselves.
Hogwarts is meant to be a school for wizzards from around the world, wouldn't be very global without different coloured people would it? Same with star-trek and other such shit. Shouldn't really be an issue should it?
But...The BBC series Robin Hood had an asian merry women in it and a merry man of african desent. So P.C it makes you sick.
Not as ridiculous as Leicester councils job "casting" for plumbers..."people from eithic backgrounds and with disabilities will be given peference as they are under represented in this department." Skills are secondary when wages are paid by council tax it would seem. Really pisses me off.
Then again...If I was a gay african female with one hand I might think it sounded great.
Rubbish. The man reveals himself as a bigoted fool.
Having speed read through the entire blog of Laguna Beach Fogey, I'm with Big Tony's assessment: he is an obnoxious, bigoted baffoon and his choice of watch is perfectly apt for his prententious character. Some of his choices of photographs and quotes do show some editorial flair, especially if you like gin.
In contrast, Chenner's has a great many faults, but if I met him a restaurant, I would buy his table a bottle of champagne and ultimately, despite his insistance that he's only in it for the money, he comes across as quite a likeable, decent and moral chap. Still, that's not going to stop us rattling his cage now and again!
^ Yep - same here. He comes accross as a prick of the first order.
The Admiral remains controversial !
... Which I guess is his role in the blog roll. His addition to the mix.
He plays no role other than being a racist bigot. He judges a man's worth based on the colour of his skin. There's no controversy, only poison.
Chenner's no racist.
There is no excuse for casual racism from alleged gentlemen who can afford to sport Rolex Submariners.

I presume that if correct period English were used it would require vast input from historians, and significantly reduce the audience for the programme. Visual historical accuracy would be easier to attain however, and would not necessarily make the programme inaccessible; all actors and extras would need to be underfed (unless nobles, in which case they would be suffering from gout), dirty and toothless, with a large number also diseased. And any ladies (preferably attractive) revealing all should have a dirty body with unshaven pits, legs and pubis.
Until this is implemented the presence of ethnic minorities is an advantage, as it reminds us that this version of the past has little historical accuracy.
Plus, as I stated earlier, in some cases the presence of ethnic minorities may be historically valid.
I've seen plenty of programmes/films set in the last few decades and they haven't bothered to get the clothes right, so I can't see the above happening.

See how I brought in Hitler? Now THAT'S Internet 'Trad' !
The Admiral (sic) has even targeted "An Affordable Wardrobe" - http://anaffordablewardrobe.blogspot.com/2011/05/jams.html
"A fellow known as Laguna Beach Fogey recently referred to me as a "tattooed goombah from Boston who plays Preppy dress up." (the capitalization of preppy is his...I might have capitalized Goombah). This might have been funny, if only the ensuing conversation hadn't led me to this. Wow.
"So I thought about how I don't like to get political here, and how I like to write about clothes, and music and stuff, and how I should probably just leave this all alone. But when I read something so ugly, ignorant and racist, I have a hard time keeping my mouth shut."
