No they aren't bespoke, and I got them at a very reasonable price, through a UK shoe clearance site, which unfortunately now seems to have had a price leap. As well as not stocking D & S anymore, which is a bugger. Still bargains to be had!

These remind me of the ones you are wearing

Re: Ivy League style for today

Would never tuck a shirt into shorts, myself. Seems a bit weird to me. The guy to the left looks cool, however.

Re: Ivy League style for today

I'm sorry to keep yammering about me, but... had I tucked in the shirt I'm fairly sure I would have gotten some funny looks from people... But untucked  - I think Thin Repp is right - noone notice or cared. It has to do with the high rise, but also with the fact that nobody does it anymore.

I'm determined to give it a go now big_smile

Re: Ivy League style for today

The untucked shirt all too often goes with the 'I-couldn't-be-arsed-to-shave' look, at least in the UK.  On the other hand, the first time I clapped eyes on John Simons he was wearing his (denim) shirt out (on a warmer than average day if memory serves me well), which perhaps shows it isn't just a look for the youngsters.  I can only do it on occasion, preferring at my age to wear shirts and trousers where tucking in is essential if I'm to avoid the scruff look.  Even now, I've got a Neil Martin Madras shirt tucked into well-worn Bean jeans.

Your clothes should reflect who you are, if a certain times you wish to hang loose, then do it, if you feel better smart and clean cut again, do it, I swing from one extreme to the other depending on how deluded I am with the world that day. smile

Re: Ivy League style for today

I started and ended the day in an ancient US made RL polo shirt (green, very faded) and Bill's shorts.  Out and about, though, it was a BB pale blue pinpoint, grey Smedley cardigan, Corbin tan pants and cognac Weejuns.
