Pair of navy topsiders, US 11, nearly mint. Wore em exactly once in NYC to walk down the short side of Central Park...swapped back to shoes in my size after 500m.
This is nice thread for selling used and new goods to needed person.

Every time I think I have one it turns out to be too big, it's a nightmare. Anyone with an all wool 50s/60s sack jacket or suit in 38R (not 39 or 40) they don't need please get in touch.
I would have thought 46 wouldn't be as hard as the smaller sizes, even back in the day I imagine there were plenty of BIG Americans.

I find the shoulder measurement with sack jackets is key and always ignore chest sizes.
Two measurements (16.5" shoulder, 23", give or take half an inch) tell me I'm looking at a 36 short. It always works.
My own fault, I should have deduced from the pit size that I would be disappointed.
Incidentally my only 38R 60s sack has 18'' shoulders, and it fits me perfectly. Go figure (as the Americans say).
'60s deadstock Gloverall duffel - Really wish this were a size 36 rather than 38; seems to run large:

Would otherwise be mine!
