Re: Ivy League style for today

Excuse my ignorance, but where do you get your trousers from? And do you get them altered at all?

P.S Before the grammar police descend I know you shouldn't start a sentence with and. But I think I will

P.P.S I also know you shouldn't start one with but.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Trousers are BB as well. I occasionally have them altered in the waist and taken in a bit in the seat.

And for the record, those who say one shouldn't start a sentence with a conjunction are wrong. But I suspect you alreadty knew that.

No, this suit is 30+ years old, before the time of the Milano/Fitzgerald/Regent/Madison fits. The trou came with the suit. I've had others on SF criticize the BB trou for being too tapered for the sack's fit, but it's simply how Brooks cut them.

Re: Ivy League style for today

The last time I wore a suit to work the others thought I was applying for the post of headmaster.  I was just pulling Luft's leg.  Wouldn't mind seeing what he wears when his limbs unfreeze.

A .44 magnum tucked into the back of your trousers would explain why you always look so stiff in photo's.

I like your stance Luftvier. I'm only messing. Anyone who knows my posting style knows I wouldn't rib anyone I don't have a certain respect for. I like your style. It's not mine and that's part of the reason I like it. Take no notice of my stupid jokes and appy-polly-loggies if I did offend.
