I don't know much about the BNP, but I still draw a line between the moderate right wing/ conservatives and the far out right wing extremists.
I had the BNP in the camp beyond that line, in the extremist category. Am I wrong?

No they are extremist, but they are a really broken party with many rifts, the Irish situation doesn't help a lot of the time either with these far-right types. EDL suffered from this too. BNP had to introduce changes to their manifesto so it wasn't criminal. Just a bunch of loons, in the same way that hippies are deluded fools, so are the extremists. Idealist trying to put square pegs in round holes, for the sake of not wanting to pick up a different peg.
