When's that from - 66/67? Not a progressive time in terms of representation of women. 'The woman as nympho driven mad by a pair of sta-prest trousers' - now if this isn't a male fantasy construction then I don't know what is...

Certainly 60s... t'was the time of Sex sells advertising.

50s ads are more about a careerist/ aspirational selling point, about fitting in with the other businessmen.

Like they don't use sex in advertising now?

Slap on this cologne or body wash, hot babes will literally attack you. Grey hair making you look old, use this hair dye and you'll have a chick half your age on each arm.

Thanks Hank - great photos!  On a side note, that last pic reminds me to keep searching for a nice glass martini pitcher. Thus far I've been using my old steel shaker, although I'm a stirrer not a shaker...

I'm slightly disappointed in this article, as it has much less heft than a similar article in LIFE published a year earlier ("The Ivy Look Heads Across U.S."). The photo shoot was taken at Columbia University, by the way.

He's THE BEST in the business, although I really rate The Weejun too. You can really tell that their passion is their subject matter & not themselves.  It makes ALL the difference.
