No, the BofB is quite right.  I think we can safely leave Lee Harvey Oswald out of it.

Apparently he didn't slump forward because of the corset.

He may be right but he's just so Bish' about it. He constantly points out the obvious, offending valued posters left right an centre and snarking without wit or hidden wisdom. He's like you, Andy, but with a frontal lobotomy. Still basically the same but only capable of whining a few well worn phrases and barking at whoever comes near his kennel.

He's the dog at the Disco.

Contrary to lies of FNB and Woofboxer, I (and most of the other "Buff Bastards") have been banned from posting on this forum. There are only a few posters left so don't waste your time on here. This forum is dead and nobody cares.

Re: Why JFK is a Ivy icon?

You really got to me. I don't see Che as a god, nor do I see JFK as one. I see them as men who made good decisions and bad decisions. Just men. Both of them sent men to there death and both were reponsible for a lot of hurt, but I don't judge them. You do. It's you I have a problem with, not what you say or the hard hitting truths you seem to think you're spewing out of your bitter gub. I just have a low tolerance for mean old hohos.

I'd also like to make it clear that I'm no gentleman. Something we have in common I think.

I'm not sure that Kennedy sent many men to their deaths, did he?  Perhaps you're confusing his presidency with that of Johnson.

I dislike JFK for a few reasons. LBJ was much more unstylish, though!

Re: Why JFK is a Ivy icon?

Bay of Pigs? I know Eisenhower's lot wrote the script but it was Kennedy who gave the go ahead, no? I'm no historian and I wouldn't get into any debate with you Andy, I'd appreciate your input here.

Wasn't it also Kennedy who turned America's attention to Vietnam from just being focused on South East Asia? Didn't he set Johnson off on that path. I'm not saying he started that war but he had his part in it and without him things may have been very different?

What about Iraq? JFKs administration supported the regime change there that led to an awful lot of killing.

Andy, I'm no historian and all this stuff is probably misremembered from High School history class. Please put me straight, but be kind. I wouldn't have waffled if you hadn't got the pan hot.

Re: Why JFK is a Ivy icon?

What makes me laugh is the thought that Liam is crying into his broth (most Scottish thing I could think of) because JFK wasn't whiter than white. I'd get a grip on the fact that no-one here, apart from the madly deluded really gets that upset as to whether any of those Ivy heroes were gay, straight, bi, drug mules, teetotallers. I really don't give two hoots. I just like the clothes.

I'm not to bothered about BoB's attack, but the line of attack, thinking Liam really gives a shit is hilarious. He is more pissed of about how you go off like a hair-trigger about the most minute of things Bish. That's up to you though, just don't be surprised when others get a bit worn of it. I don't think they're taking exception to JFK being held up to the cold, hard, light of day.

Liam is asking perfectly sensible questions.  The conclusions he draws are his own affair.

OO Bop- The only thing that's got to me is BoB and his nonsense. It's tiresome. Puts me right off my oat cakes.

JFK holds nothing for me but good hair, good clothes and good sailing photos. No allusions, no illusions but no judgement from me either.

I'll leave it at that. Bark bark.
