Re: Ivy League style for today

I really like those shirts, Oliver, especialy the madras. I've been watching the O'connells site for those swim suits. I'm looking for that model in navy or maybe the light khaki ones but they don't have my size. I'm hoping in the spring they restock them. Very 60s without being too short or tight.

Re: Ivy League style for today

I think the swim trunks are the house design, but the bleeding madras bermudas are rare as hen's teeth (authentic Inidan madras) and unfortunately almost all gone. I initially ordered a killer multi blue patterned madras and was told they were out of stock and were not going to be getting any more of this stuff. I'm curious to see how they fit. The waist is supposed to be true to size and the thighs quite tapered, but I expect they'll be taken in for alterations. I really love the vintage Sero and wish they had the other colors in my size... I'm kicking myself now for not jumping on the nos Chambrox earlier this year when they first stocked them. I'd kill for a bengal striped Sero in yellow or blue. I'm even thinking about copping a few of the deadstock oxfords and taking them in to have the sleeves shortened.

Nice Oliver, was looking at the stripe Sero myself last night, along with a few other bit I just can't afford!

Re: Ivy League style for today

As a rule, I normally don't buy men's shirts to alter (expensive and unecessary) and most vintage button downs fit like halloween capes. I'd be willing to make an exception for these Seros though. I wish I'd noticed the NOS Purists sooner... I'd have bought a handfull and taken 'em down to the tailor to have tapered. I'll let you know how it works out!

I have no idea who is really behind the Russian Spy posts, but I have to say, I would buy merchandise if it was available. Maybe signature pomade for moustaches?

Good to see Russian Spy posting again, quite possibly the coolest man in the Kremlin.

Instead of casual Fridays, I've started casual Rooster tie Friday.
