Absolutley, in the winter. Red and white or blue and white with jeans. Nice.
You are free of the connotations out there SMF. GG et al, would probably shoot a man for less.
Ah lovely innocent days, taken to a new level in the 70's and then it all changed with the invention of the Ollie. The clothes never looked as good as in those pics though.
I was big into skateboarding in the latter half of the 70' and mixed in with the punk/new wave influences of straight jeans and cords were van's, baseball boots, purcells. We all wanted to go to California to skate, which was impossible for a 15 year old from a housing estate back then...lol
I always pass off the Hockney connection. I think its a great look with jeans and pumps. Trouble is over here people may consider it a bit toff-like. Especially when worn whilst riding my horse through the village.
NB. I do not own a horse.
JS did some. Liam no doubt has a picture.
No harm in 1965, if you were wishing it was 1975, or 1985, we'd have a problem. 1995 however is fine. 2005 again... no.
Lovely photos! Well done.
I'd pick, 1925, 1955.

T-shirts?
Oh please....only under a button down.
The yellow/Navy Howies shirt is still available at Oi Polloi if anyone is interested.

Made from Orgainic Cotton in the UK don't you know.
Cheers L. Doubt they'll fit. I wonder if Hanes do any stripes. They must have done a striped Beefy T.

Wow, that fella in the single button and trilby is absolutely zero cool!
These are amazing photos! Cgheck out those dirty 501s and desert boots?!
The hispanic looking cat in the top right has got the perfect jeans, I'd kill for a tapered high rise cut like that and have been searching for years!
Dig this '65 docu about a lonely teen movin' on the side walk surf jobs, with none other than Davie Allan providing the boss surf instros with ocassional blasts of killer fuzz guitar!

The sdtrk was written by Mike Curb who did lotsa other scores for The Arrows on tons of '60s exploito flicks like The Wild Angels, Born Losers, Riot On Sunset Strip, The Wild Racers, Glory Stompers, etc. Davey sez Al Casey (Duane Eddy's rhythm guitar player!) played session on it too.
