You're a lucky man! I'm the next county along, not a fan of what Rebellion has to offer.

Liam - organic too!

Do they sell it in the Health Food section?

I imagine after a few on a long night it would be good fun picking away at the label and turning the K in Kite into SH.

I like the way health food shops sell beer, so long as its organic and made with some obscure ingredient other than hops and wine with no added sulphates. Makes one feel better when over indulging.

Brew Dog is one of the more interesting Scottish brewers. However the really strong one costs the same as spirits.

Re: What are you drinking at the moment ?

A friend of mine was given a bottle of that Tactical Nuclear Penguin as a gift. It tastes awful apparantly. No surprise really.

FXH- They don't seem to sell the orgainic one in Tesco actually. They have the normal Red Kite and the Yellowhammer, which I think is a blonde beer.

It first started showing up in pubs in my 2nd year of Uni(2005) and it quickly became very very popular. The first half of a night out would be all Red Kite but at about 10pm you'd have to switch as they would run out and the micro brewery couldn't supply fast enough. Almost every person in the pub would be drinking it.

It's well worth seeking out if you're ever in the Country.

Re: What are you drinking at the moment ?

A pal organised a private wine tasting for us. Ten Spanish wines, five white, five red, only one Rioja. Very interesting and enjoyable.
Naranjuez Granada Organic Pinot Nera 2006 was pricey at £49.99 a bottle. Gran Cerdo Tempranillo Rioja was a bit better value £8.99

For the rest of this month I shall be mostly drinking beer.

Mouton Cadet 2009, for an 8 Euro bottle it has delightful depth and is well rounded. For a cheap wine its extremely good.

^Aye, when I was the local chemist's delivery boy back in my tour of duty 85-87, I can concur that there was plenty of Buckfast Abbey wine and other healthy alcoholic tonics being pushed on old WWII naval officer widows. Lousy pay, five pound fifty was my last weekly salary based on two hours a night Monday to Friday and four hours on a Saturday, but the tips were great, especially from the old ladies. Happy days.

I know the St Austell beers (mentioned above) quite well but the Cornish IPA (odd sort of name!) is new. Hick's Special Draught is excellent and quite strong.

Far too much of whatever is lying about. Hic. 94'F today at 4pm (got up to 100'F earlier); halcyon afternoon, 1 UV rating and, throughout, a nice sea breeze. How are your radiators bearing up, Chenners and Muffy? Yo!
