That blue does compliment the pinkish white complexion of a Northern European.

(that sentence is deliberately AAAC in style)

''If I can't share my faith in Christ here, I'd just as soon not have to put up with people advocating drug use.''

Trousers look great mate, I rarely get to say that. Perfect closeness.

I'll just join the choir and say that's a very handsome suit Repp. I wish now I had kept on bidding for that Woolf Bros three-piece on eBay...

Heikki - I really like the shoes.

What are the pants/shoe combo; are those navy cords?

I dig 'em a lot!

They are moleskin five pockets. The style is Gant Jason, but I let the tailor at them and got them tapered. The shoes are my trusty Ducker and Sons, bubbly, comfortable lasts, good for my foot shape.

Re: Ivy League style for today

I`m loving the rayban caravans at the moment, Daniele. .. More disarming and abstracted than the ubiquitous tear drop shape of regular `aviators`.

McQueen wore the type aa well (tee-hee!).

They feel very `now`, if that makes sense   hmm

I`ve just ordered some vintage ones (52mm lenses).

Daniele, for once i`m being completely serious, but you are an exceptionally stylish dresser, and it`s always a pleasure to see you posting and sharing pics of `where you are at` at the moment (clotheswise).

Re: Ivy League style for today

Cheers Jesmond for your kind words!:-)

Re the Caravans, you're right, they're a bit less seen than the Aviators (at least here in Italy, where Aviators are ubiquitous these days).
I bought mine the day I finished my military service, in 1989, in a shop in Milan that was the closer we could get to an "Ivy" shop at the time (named WP, they stocked Baracuta, London Fog, BD Baggies, chinos, penny loafers, flannel blazers etc - pretty expensive, we usually had to wait for the sales to approach it. The shop still exist, more focussed on timberman-type stuff, but every now and then still have something interesting) ... I think they are the wider size, 55 mm.
