Re: Ivy League style for today

The GBX and RJ Colt are a great disposable boot. I
f you could pick them up in Britain they would be a great alternative to the cheap desert boot. But sadly, by the time you pay silly postage to the US they are no longer worth the while.
I used to wear them for work and I was lucky to get six months out of them.

Hahaha, I don't think I could ever wear a 'non-ironic' beret. If I got the mac as well I could do the full Frank Spencer!

The button pocket is a tasty little detail.

That side view does look dodgy. Judging from the last shot though I'd say it's more about how you were standing.

I'm off the doughnut lunches now George. Back in training. It was sushi for lunch today. I couldn't stand the idea of being hounded about it by an ex marine. Scary stuff.

I think the idea of me and Liam in training for the Marines circa 1963 would make for a hilarious comedy. Something along the line of Biloxi Blues.. but with Scottish accents.

Lands' End.  I picked up one in navy as well.  I think it was marketed as the "cropped trench."  Quality is ok.  It's pretty lightweight, unlined, but it does have a ton of pockets and I was drawn to the length.
