If my intention was to make a gentle low level intro I have stuffed that up a bit it would seem!! And in hindsight i can see that whacking up a picture of a MR shirt was asking for trouble as an opening post but to be honest I am not going to lose too much sleep!!.For the record I agree that the website does his shirts and the associated image of potential customers no favours. The collars whilst large dont sit high but have a longer point to them. I love the madras on that shirt and frankly think it works within the context of what I was wearing but no you could never claim nor did I claim it was an 'Ivy' shirt, but then I like playing around the edges of some styles, taking elements and making them work for me rather than following a presriptive text book of 'The Look'. On a final note thanks for old friends confirming I am no way linked or modelled for the pictures on the Mikkel Rude site!
Hey Mike, glad you got sorted with a hall pass, seems the big kids have been over to chat.
Not a MR fan, but if I had the money, I do like the chunky knit cream cardigan, could be straight out of the hollywood book with the right shirt and trousers.

Oh yeah...

Its not really criticism of you as a person Ox, its a chat on a forum about clothes, colourways and style.
Your just serving it up. Which is a good thing, its the content thats lacking.
Your a little old to have "started" buying clothes aren't you?
Ox, I'd listen to Soggy's advice on things concerning colours and patterns, mainly cause the man racks up air-miles just to get the right colour tie!
Plus he'll duff you up if you disagree (or if you fail to give him a fiver a week for 'protection').
You wouldn't what that shetland to succumb to 130 degree spin cycle would you my boy...? That's right you pay-up son, you know wats gud for yer.

I cut the kilties and tassels off some loafers to make them, they're beat as beater gets! I need some that I can just wear to work in the week.
Ah, ok. Could you recommend some affordable Pennys? Apart from those Artesanos Liam found on the bay? (The Venetians look good, the Pennys are nice for the price but a bit too shiny)
I don't own any pennys Leer so I'm not really sure which is best to get, I think the general consensus on here is if you can find a good vintage pair from a maker like Bass it is better than any modern offerings, apart from the really expensive brands like Rancourt and people like that.
Always seemed to be plenty clean nearly-new Weejuns on ebay, cheap as chips. I always looked out for the shoes that people had bought, worn a couple of times, not been happy with the fit, and sold on. Happens often.
Oo your last two pics were fab baby. Tip top gear sir.
BTW, I'm don't seem to have had the normal £10 bank transfer into my account this week. I hope you didn't forget?
How is your mum?
Just send me one of those wack looking PS's mate and we'll get back to the normal arrangement the following week.
Can I have one of those PSs please?
I wouldn't size down with Weejuns.
ok, thanks - gonna check the bay
