The person who has the merchandise credit for sale on EBAY is most likely a thief who stole something from Brooks Brothers and then returned it for a merchandise credit. It happens somewhat frequently here in the US.

I never buy gift cards. I repeat, NEVER. You could end up with an empty gift card, a customer-specific return amount, etc. It seems a bit dodgey...
