I'm also up on two more blogs in the next couple of days.... I'll keep Talk Ivy in the loop.
Writing away a lot just now. For those who don't know I'm currently spending a few days in a very nice little clinic - Highly recommended & better than a hotel. Lots of time to write, but limited Internet access.
Today we nicked some wheelchairs & played Ben Hur in the garden...
I'm here to De-Tox from Tramadol so I can take more Morphine instead. It's also a good chance to quit smoking & lay of the booze. Plus there's lots of interesting people here. Me and a girl called Ruthie gave each other ciggie burns on the bum the other day to make us De-Tox buddies... You use that foil lined paper from a packet of fags & cut out a pattern then press a cigarette against it.
She got a little pink heart & I got a rather painfully red diamond.
We've decorated our rooms with paperchains & chinese laterns made from cut up magazines and have adopted a little Goth girl to be in our gang already. She's called The Dark Darling and scares everybody else to death. I think she's lovely.
Time I went and got injected again...
You're on a roll!!!
I abused it terribly and so had to come off it in a clinic I was such a fan of it.
Nicer, cleaner drugs for me from now on !
Tramadol Dreams.. Now there's a topic !
My experience of pain killers on the NHS has been less mellow, the tablets I got after my neck and back injury when I was off work for nearly a month had zero effect, I swear I didn't sleep for several days the pain was that bad. The best I got from the specialist was grin and bear it and be prepared for serious problems from emanating from your neck in the future. I still have three discs out in my neck, one now deteriorated and gone and I can't even get a codeine pain killer from my doctor here in the Netherlands when it plays up, less I become addicted.
When I hear about the tablets other people manage to get from their doctors, I am amazed, because all I get is short shrift or the latest non-addictive tablet in such a small dose as to be ineffective.
There is a culture of making patients 'earn' their pain relief I believe - And I don't think it works. Instead it drives people into self-medication and harm. At my peak I was taking all sorts from various sources & using vodka to accelerate and amplify them. This turned a stomach ulcer into a tumour in my case and an even bigger bill for the NHS. And all to save money on a few painkillers?
Addiction is bad, on that we all agree. Cancer is worse.
Small bump seeing Ivy Style's latest -
I'm surprised there isn't teeth marks round this forum.
Oy.
Chensvold will delete my comments on his blog or not.
... But please don't call Kev a 'British' pop star.
If we want to talk Ivy DSMD then I know much.
All fantastic for 1985 - Which was after the first death of 'Preppy'.
Comments already all deleted !
... And so another stupid post is launched by the good ship Ivy-Sty.
Never was Chensvold more out of his depth.
His intentions might be good...
Maybe?
Anyway, Chens, it seems, has a certain demographic to please, too...
Aye. But there's nothing the man won't present as froth. I find it all so weak.
... and it's always US and them...
I'm still waiting for something personal from Christian.
Or maybe not.
He's offered us a few lies in the past pretending to a long standing connection with Ivy & the Ivy-esque, saying that the Blue LL Bean Gumshoe was the classic at his school amongst his peers ...
A girl's school was it then ?
The US / UK divide is entirely his invention as he's so thwarted & cross by my lack of respect for him. From that he now goes out of his way to try to trash anything from the real movers & shakers in Ivy today - Very few of whom are American.
He's a joke in the industry. A tacky blogger.
