Zach really should shift from retail to menswear consultancy. He could be the American 'Russell Street' !
All this knowledge is only of use if it is making clothes. My only interest here. I don't blog or write books, I try to get clothes made. Zach should do the same.
Didn't he get a job at the Andover Shop? Or rather, didn't you, Zach?
Believe so. Retail. He should be a mover & shaker instead !
He's moving and shaking in his way. There's no better online vintage retailer. Michael 'Typhoid Jones' runs him close (that BB popover he turned up recently... OMFG!) but Zach has the eye and the knowledge like no one online that I can think of.
Not trying to freak him out or make him want to 'go electric' but Zach's on the right path and he's young yet. He's the future. The new blood you're talking about, Jim. I'm sure many more on here have the potential to do something too.
That's very fair. There is a TON of potential out there.
Took me 34 years to get here !
Darcy at the Ivy League Shop should get a mention, I love her store.
^Aye, another good source and I've purchased excellent stuff from all the retailers on the stickys, including the novice apprentince style councilor St Louis Ivy.
But, I had a package from J.Press sneak through customs with no charges recently, whilst other stuff from Zach & et al has arrived with unfeasibly large custom charges. Indeed, it gets worse, I've had stuff sitting in customs for quite a long time now, which has me seriously worried....
And of course, seriously good Ivy gear from fellow members of Talk Ivy, absolutely amongst the best purchases ever.
My eldest son tells of a tailor in Hanoi....
I like this Kenneth Rexroth guy, I empathise with his plight.
/\ Perfect, historical & true !
Well played !
