Had a nice pair of indigo liberto around 90/91, bought from a swell shop in Bradford during my foundation years. likewise did know they were still around, pretty sure they are French.

Oh aye, but you can get all that altered, finding something with a good seat and rise is half the battle for me.

I also think French.

Agree with Oo Bop - Get the rise & the seat right & the rest is an easy alterations job.

Bit like a jacket - Get the shoulders right & the rest is a much cheaper fix.

I like it Adam, very nice.

I have a couple of 60s deadstock shorts I'm eagerly waiting to get to try out, but the Finnish summer is taking it's time to get going this year. It's been nice and sunny, but not warm enough for shorts just yet...

Started the day in Makers broadcloth, Press jacket and flannels, Florsheim smooths and old, unlined Brooks mac draped over my arm.  Switched to Madras and Corbin.  Corbin now exchanged for thrifted Bean jeans and Topsiders.  Changeable, ain't it?

Re: Ivy League style for today

Hey Woolster I really dig that popover! I think it looks good tucked in but also could look great untucked with chinos...

Thin Rep, really like your Moscots in transparent they really look the part on you. those Aldens look great too!

Adam, that's the ideal summer look, have you ever tried Madras pants to wear in the evening? I wear them at nights when it gets really humid and I don't want to do chinos or seersucker... they can be a good option but it's also really easy to look foolish-pretentious on them... Bill Murray pulled off the madras pants very nicely in this summer's West Anderson movie

Re: Ivy League style for today

Are Moscots good quality? I've been interested for some time in them but heard they were made in China and I have never seen them in person so I'm not sure on their robustness... I currently have oliver peoples, cutler and gross and blinde... but Moscots sure are nice...

Agreed, when I wear madras pants, I make sure to tone-down every thing else. White or blue oxford or untucked pullover with weejuns and that's it...

Murray did the same for the film, madras pants and white oxford and I thought he looked great...
