How cold is it? In Vienna we had the hottest day of the year on wednesday, I'm only wearing shorts, short sleeved shirts, boat shoes or Espadrilles, or even sandals... Feeling like summer holiday!
Bop, what's that jacket? Looks a bit Anglo-Ivy, like it!

England is often more or less damp. It doesn't rain quite as often as people make out (even in Manchester). But I like the rain. We have a cottage garden and I hate seeing it look parched. Besides, for the mac maniacs amongst us, it provides an excuse for musing over a suitable colour: olive, oyster, navy - which should it be?
It's a J. Press Leer, the one that paid the rent, according to the history books! I'm in the process of taming the lapel up to the top button.

Off to an engagement party where I was told NOT to out dress anyone. Hence a very cool weather gents outfit of a Brooks Brothers vintage hand woven tweed sack style sports coat, green striped Brooks brothers open collar long sleeve shirt, khaki trousers and Timberland Size 14 moccasins. Not quite Ivy but close enough.
Ever heard of Kendal Black-Drop? This was popular amongst the mill workers in Lancashire back in the early 1800s. After a good 16 hour shift, nothing eased the stress of the day then a large brandy with a few tinctures of opium.
Jimmy's looking well on the way to recovery, I should add.
Longer than me !
Thanks to all for their niceness.
Jim.
Stetson cap
The blue Andover Shop shirt from NSV
Knotted 60s rayon scarf, inherited from my father
Anthony Allan seersucker jacket
Jeans and desert boots
Old Brooks fly-fronted
Pissing it down
Just back from picking kids up.
Vtg Driway (now renamed Wetway) brown
Hanes T
Old Tattersall bd no label
505 - No turn Up
Clarks desert trek (ideal puddle splashers)
Olney Newsboy Hat

The shirt is English! I'm quite taken by the J.Press cut, they obviously cut the taper in the pattern, so it actually sits around your body, they also seem to be cut well for people with big frames. I think I might just stick to J. Press from now, my Brooks looks shit compared to that. Even though I prefer the look of Brooks on the hanger.
