I think it's the pic, they are short but the right leg is caught on the boot. I washed these trousers before I had them hemmed but they seem to have shrunk a bit in length since so I only wear the with boots now.

No real break for me Liam...think I prefer Bedfords with either a boot or a penny loafer tbh...they're quite narrow innit..

Just stumbled on this on thee internet highway...

Re: Ivy League style for today

Its all down to the relationship between the hem width an where the trouser cuff sits, forgeting how the rest of the trouser fits, I think the trouser should touch the front and back of where it lands with a cm or two spare. So if it is breaking high you need a 7.75 or maybe even 7.5 for smaller guys, but if you have a 9'' hem you might want the trousers to sit really on the shoe with a light break, a 9'' hem without a break is just going to look stupid really, also, this doesn't even get into angling the hem.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Agree MGP...I can't be as eloquent as you on it but the wider the trewser..the slightly longer in my eyes...

I don't mind longer jeans with a sturdy redwing mind on occasion..tho I do like a whopping turn up too on that front...

I'm twixt n tween generally methinks...

Re: Ivy League style for today

Yep,  think the smaller foot can get away with more..I'm a 10/11 shoewise so can't get too narrow either... I can't get near a 30 waist any more mind which I think too aids the style....I've big calves n all which will always be a problem on slimmer fits...I'll quit whilst i'm ahead, eh?!?!?

That Levi's add is a great one tho'...
