I'm at home under the air con drinking Little Creatures Pale Ale, cooking chops and Greek Salad - cucumber, tomatoes, red onions, fetta. Wearing old worn blue BD shirt untucked , faded red chinos and bare feet.

A bit 'nippy' out so,
Clarks DBs charcoal,
Corgi wool socks -black,
LVC 505's,
Dickies hi-neck long sleeve tee -wine,
Pendleton 'Lodge' shirt- grey,
Penfield Kassan parka- grey herringbone tweed/black tin cloth,
Kangol patchwork 'newsboy' cap.
So I just scored my first suit that I would unhesitatingly call Ivy League for NZ$11 (US$9).
As you may or may not have figured, there are virtually no American or even English garments dating from the golden age we are all interested in here in New Zealand - and most New Zealand suits of that vintage are usually quite ugly, and are weak simulacra of even the more traditional British style.
In any case, this suit is a dream, especially in my small size; narrow curved lapels, sack front, swelled seams, HOOK VENT (!). Living in a reasonably small place, this suit, and one sports jacket that looks very similar which I found even CHEAPER, are the only hook vented jackets I've ever seen in real life (ever). A little jivy by the flap pockets. My only gripes are that the sleeves are a little too long and it's two-button rather than a glorious 3/2.
I just bounced in the door and hastily threw on an old Ben Sherman, a blue silk knit tie, grey socks, and vintage Made in Australia Florsheims.

A maximum of 5C today so, dressed to go moose hunting (but actually hunting for a pint and open fire):
Vintage Timberland 'Newmarket' mocc-toe boots, dark tan.
LL Bean wool boot socks.
LVC 505s.
uni-qlo 'heatech' long sleeve tee, white.
Gant for Yale Coop 'Bennington Twill', exploded plaid button down.
Penfield shawl collar sweatshirt.
Woolrich 'Field Parka' , olive with the big furry hood detached (at least until it snows).
Canada Goose 'Trapper' hat.
Is that a high stance two button Bcb?
Collars on the js look lovely with ties
It's feckin freezing. Luckily I just got a nice overcoat back from having the sleeves lengthened so I'm toasty.
Looking the "nuts" as usual 12 bar ,the wind flies in from the channel down your way.
Reminds me of nights getting pissed in the pump house and then off to the escape
Cheers. We've recently moved down on to the sea front and it's surprising how much windier it is. I had to lean into it and fight for breath the other morning, no joke.
Black Cat, An excellent find, that suit. Congrats on your first Ivy suit. I've a few jackets now but not found a suit yet (I must say I've not been looking too hard). It is tough for smaller slimmer guys to find good vintage. We can't all be as lucky as 12 Bar Blues. Everything seems to be made for that lucky swine. As Moose already said those lapels are great. You have to love those details.
Henry, despite the camera that is a lovely jacket and tie combination. The tie especially. The heathering on it looks fantastic. Is this your interpretation of the Cricketeer countryside look? If so you have the vibe of the thing spot on. Love it.
^Ha, you know what, not on purpose, but maybe subconsciously. I do really like that image from the Cricketeer ad and it has been on my mind. There is a lot of stuff in my size but it still takes some dedicated trawling to find the good stuff. Sometimes it just falls in your lap, usually from Newton street, Typhoid jones, the Ivy league shop etc.
Lol. That coast road along the cliffs is pretty hairy when the wind gets up. You see double decker busses snaking all over the road, they cancel them if it gets too bad.
Dig that recent combo, 12Bar.
Yeah, great stuff H. Lovely jacket, love the whole look.
One hell of a blizzard here yesterday.
Today:
Yuketen Sports Hunt Boots in peanut brown suede
LVC '67 505s with hefty turn ups
Blue and white bar stripe Hugger
Grey Brooks Brothers Shetland
Charcoal Melton Wool Baracuta given to me by forum member Runic - Cheers mate, I love it. It's very warm too, although I think I should have worn something with a hood on it today...
Norse Projects Merino Wool Beanie
