Great suit Woof. Sleeves look like they need shortening a touch but that's a minor detail. I remember seeing this suit for sale before dean bought it and wishing it were my size. Is it labeled Miltons country cupboard and not clothing cupboard or is that a typo?

Re: Ivy League style for today

You are correct Henry, it is Milton's Clothing Cupboard. They are still trading it seems, beating the ivy drum in the South Eastern states:

The ACWA label in the suit dates it from 1962 - 76, probably 60s. It really is a lovely suit and drew a few favourable comments yesterday. I've had the trousers altered and, you're right, the sleeves are a tad long but it's well worth spending a bit more to have that sorted out.

I have just received an unsolicited Kimono through the post !

(You really couldn't make it up, could you?)

If anybody would also care to send me a Fez I would now have the perfect outfit to stay 'round Chensvold's Purple Closet for the weekend...  wink

^ Good old Marks & Sparks trahseez. They look fine alongside the rest of that stuff.

Great shoes Woofie.

Great tie H. One of the range?

WM, those trousers are most unflattering-I only say that because I care.

Goodyear, what in particular bothers you about them?  I quite like them.  I'm going to guess the rise is a bit much for you, but they are in line with my grandfatherly standard.

Re: Ivy League style for today

The tie is another one that I picked up in Paris. It was from a small shop that has no website and the proprietor spoke no Anglais. The tie only has a label stating the fabric it's made out of. They had loads of black and white pics of boom years Hollywood stars stuck to the walls, quite a cool little shop, loads of nice ties.
