Re: Ivy League style for today

Weather's a bit shite here today as well.  Thankfully I've injured my neck / shoulder / back so I have a good excuse not to venture out and I can sit here and pester the forumgoers all day.

Very sensible captain, “layering up” there’s nothing like it when it gets a bit parkie.
I sit here in the central heated luxury that is Armchaired mansions in a Hanes, makers and grey sweatshirt.
I would go out but sadly I don’t own a yellow slicker and I have only got madras shorts, weejuns and socks!! On
On me lower half.

Re: Ivy League style for today

Had a birthday bash last night at three different venues with on the expat socialites in here in the Hague:
The green Harry Stedman OCBD with flap
Rooster tie in green, blue and grey stripes
Buzz Ricksons officer pinks
Alden Longwings No.8
And grey herringbone J. Keydge

Early on in the evening I was accosted by a fabric designer based in London, who was intrigued by the texture and lines of my clothing and said she could tell I was a very interestng person and was I the person who organised the North Sea Jazz Festival? Which was one of those Paul Simon "Who I'm I to blow against the wind?" moments, and this did provide evidence that my intent in my style is being projected.

I was actually quite chuffed.

I'd say those patterns work fine.  Nothing clashing about it.  The tattersall is subtle enough and the check in the jacket's subtle enough. I would.

I wouldn't Tattershall at all. It's the one overcheck I've tried and didn't like. I think perhaps I see so much of it in an English country context that it just doesn't work for me. Looks good on you mind GW.  Looking dead country but still dead cool. Hair looks good too.
